二重廻しコート：ブラックウォッチ・ケープ

ケープをブラックウォッチ、身頃を濃紺無地で仕上げた二重廻しコート。裏地にもタータンチェック柄を合わせて、スタイリッシュに。
二重廻しコートとは、背中にまで覆い布（ケープ）が掛かるコートで、生地節約のため背中を１枚に仕立て、袖口にだけ羽根を付けたトンビコートとは別物です。 前からの見た目は同じでも、二重廻しは暖かく、何より後ろ姿は美しさは段違い。 後ろ姿にまで隙がなく、美しく風に靡き、紳士に相応しいコートだと言えます。和服にだけではなく、スーツにもあうデザインです。
この二重廻しの最大の特徴は、ケープと身頃で色柄を変えていることでしょう。 ばらばらの色柄にも関わらず、どちらも紺系の配色にすることで（裏地のタータンチェック柄も含め）全体的に統一感を持たせています。 表地は共に、しっかりと織り込まれたウールとポリエステルの混紡生地で、シワになりにくくて丈夫。 ケープのブラックウォッチも身頃の濃紺も深い色合いですが、うっすらとした艶をまとい上品です。 ケープだけを ブラックウォッチ・タータンに変えたデザインは、個性的な割に 落ち着いた印象。
また、羽根裏（覆い布の裏）と身頃裏などの内側、つまり裏地は、タータンチェック柄の高密度タフタで、表地より明るい色調なので チラ見せも目に鮮やか。この軽量の裏地には、軽撥水・透湿・防風などの効果があるので、日常使いでも機能性と暖かさを発揮することでしょう。
二重廻しコートは シャーロック・ホームズのインバネスコートから派生した外套です。 そんな先入観も手伝って、どこか知的な雰囲気が漂います。 和装、洋装を問わず、フォーマルから通勤・通学にまで使え、かなり万能な二重廻しと言えます。

The Inverness Cape is made from different fabrics, with the cape made from Black-watch fabric and the bodice made from a dark blue plain fabric. It was stylishly arranged with a tartan plaid lining.
The Inverness Cape is a Coat that comes with a Cape attached from the chest to the back. It is beautiful not only from the front, but also from the back. The design goes not only with Japanese clothes, but also with suits.
The best thing about this Inverness Cape is that the cape and bodice have different colors and patterns. Despite the disparate colors and patterns, both have a navy-blue color scheme (including the tartan lining) that gives them a sense of unity throughout. Both are tightly woven wool-polyester blends that are wrinkle-resistant and durable. Both the Black-watch on the cape and the dark blue on the bodice are deep shades, but they are elegant with a subtle sheen. The design, in which only the cape is replaced with a Black-watch tartan, gives a calm impression despite its individuality.
In addition, a high density taffeta with tartan check pattern is used for the inside of the cape and bodice, that is, for the lining, and the color tone is lighter than the outer fabric, so it is fun to see it briefly. This lightweight lining has light water-repellent, moisture-permeable and windproof effects, so it should be functional and warm for daily use.
The Inverness Cape is a Cloak with a Sherlock Holmes impression. Helped by such preconceptions, it has a somewhat intellectual feel to it. Whether dressed in Japanese or Western clothing, it can be used from formal to commuting to work or school, making it a pretty versatile Inverness Cape.
