皮革にしか見えない光沢と浮き出し模様を 織物で表現したクロコダイル小袖と、ジャカード・まだら紋様の袴との ちょい悪的コーディネート。
何と言っても、主役は クロコダイル的なテクスチャーに仕上げられた小袖でしょう。 渋い色目がカッコ良く、型押しのような立体感と妖しげな光沢も秀逸。 これが、織りの技術で生み出されているのです。 経糸・緯糸の二重組織のふくれ織（マトラッセ）によって立体感を出しています。 そこに、チンツ加工を施し 光沢を持たせました。 レザー感たっぷりな見た目ながら、フェイクレザーでなくて、布地であることに驚かされます。 二重織りなので 若干肉厚だが、それも皮革っぽく、性能的には布地。 扱いやすく、ゴージャスな小袖です。 もちろん、 特許技術を盛り込んで、すっきりとしたシルエットに仕上げています。 衿先や袖口などの装飾も見え隠れし、細かな細工にも余念がありません。 派手な色ではないが、精巧な加工を経て、力強い存在感を纏っています。
一方、ジャカード紋織の袴は、木肌のようなまだら模様、樹皮のような歪な幾何模様が、黒とグレーの糸で織り出されています。 軽めでシワになりにくいので 扱いやすく、さらりとした風合い。渋い色合いで組み合わせやすい、大人の袴と言えます。
小袖の見事なテクスチャー、袴の落ち着いた紋織、両方とも 野生味を垣間見せる洒落が匂い立つようです。
