浮世しのぎ：海島綿

シーアイランド・オーガニックコットンのデニム袴と、肩山〜袖山を一直線の紺色に切り替えた小袖との 骨太なコーディネート。
日本では海島綿(かいとうめん)と呼ばれるシーアイランドコットンとは、カリブ海に浮かぶ西インド諸島の、５つの地域でのみ、わずかに産出される希少性と傑出した品質で、宝石のように評価される木綿のことです。（長い時間をかけてじっくり育成され、摘み取りも人の手で一つ一つ丹念に行われるそう。） 毛足が長く、光沢感があり、肌触りの良い最高級のオーガニックコットン。 その綿で織られたデニムを使った袴は、うっすらと上品な光沢を纏い、やはり贅沢です。（ただし、使い始めは色落ちに注意。）
一方の小袖は、袖山から肩山、そのまま袖山へと紺色が横一直線に繋がっています。 ２色の生地を縫い合わせたものではなく、織り糸の色が切り替わっているのです。実は、袴に隠れている部分にも紺色の一直線があるので、超極太ピッチで紺×グレーのボーダーになっています。 左から右へと一直線の紺色は 背中にもあり、大胆さの中に潔さを感じさせます。こちらも綿素材で、優しい肌触りで軽い着心地。自然なシルエットが作られます。袖口や衿先の装飾には逆配色を使い、印象的に仕上げました。
希少な木綿に、精密な技術、大胆な配色とが調和して、気負わない精悍さが滲み出ています。いつでも着ていられるヘビーユーズ間違いなしのコーディネートとなることでしょう。

Sea Island cotton is a rare, outstanding quality, jewel-like cotton produced only in five regions of the West Indies in the Caribbean Sea. (It is said that it is carefully cultivated over a long period of time, and the picking is done carefully one by one by human hands.) This is a high quality organic cotton with long hair, luster, and good texture. Made of denim woven from that’s cotton, Hakama has an elegant luster and is luxurious. (However, the color may fade at the beginning of use.)
On the other hand, the Kosode has a straight line of navy blue from the sleeves to the shoulders and then to the sleeves. The difference between the two colors is that the fabric is not sewn together and the color of the weave is switched. As a matter of fact, there is a straight line of navy blue inside the Hakama, so it is a very thick pitch stripe pattern of navy and gray. The color of the back also changes in a straight line, and you can feel the honesty in the boldness. This is cotton, soft to the touch and light to wear. It has a natural silhouette. Gray is used for the decoration on the back of the cuffs and collar tip for an impressive finish.
Rare cotton, precise tailoring, and bold coloring combine to exude majestic virility. It will be a coordination for heavy use that you want to wear anytime.
