多くの方々から どのような構造なのか？と不思議がられる和慈羽袖は、プレーンな状態では、大きな羽の様な袖を持つ羽織ですが、この袖のボタンを外し、肩や首に回し掛けることでうまれる変幻自在な着こなしと、ドレープの美しさを楽しめる特許製品です。 さらには脇ポケットなど、使いやすくするための工夫も施してあります。
この羽袖の起毛した柔らかな風合いから、素材感を伝えるためニットと呼びましたが、実際のところ毛糸で編まれたレースと言えます。 毛羽立った質感ながらも、透かし目（穴）が均一に並ぶのには、ナイロン×ポリエステルの絶妙なバランスと、緻密な仕立ての技術の裏付けによるものです。 透かし目から見える赤いシャンタンの光沢と、鉄紺・ニットのマットさとの対比が、奥行きのある表情を演出してくれます。 穴の部分は縫えないので、デザインを微調整し、仕立ての行程が通常より増えて、難易度も高め。 デリケートさは否めませんが、型崩れしにくく仕上がっています。 そして、ボリュームある見た目にもかかわらず、かなり軽量。
個性的で、且つ迫力もあるので、和装・洋装を問わず、着倒していただきたいアウターです。

The standard form is a haori with large sleeves like wings, but by unbuttoning the sleeves and turning it around to the shoulders, you can enjoy a unique look and the beauty of the drape. It is a patented product, and has a built-in side pocket to make it easy to use.
In order to convey the soft raised texture of Wazi-Hasode, it is called knit for convenience, but in fact it can be said to be a lace knitted with wool. Even though it has a fluffy texture, the orderly arrangement of open-work is due to the exquisite balance of nylon and polyester and the fine tailoring technique. The contrast between the matte look of the dark navy knit and the luster of the red shantung underneath creates a deep look. Because the open-work part is difficult to sew, the design is fine-tuned, and the tailoring process is much more complicated. Although it is delicate, it is not easily deformed. And despite its voluminous look, it’s pretty light.
