麻絞り染の和慈羽袖

青竹色の絞り染めが縦に流れる麻の和慈羽袖。裏には多色ムラ染の横段柄を。
多くの方々から どのような構造なのか？と不思議がられる和慈羽袖は、プレーンな状態では、大きな羽の様な袖を持つ羽織ですが、この袖のボタンを外し、肩に回し掛けることでうまれる変幻自在な着こなしと、ドレープの美しさを楽しめる特許製品です。 さらには脇ポケットなど、使いやすくするための工夫も施しています。
この羽袖の素材は、生成りに下染めし、シワ加工した麻生地に、青竹色の絞り染めを施しています。 模様の縦の流れは印象的で、両袖を下ろした羽織形態での後ろ姿は、青竹色が放射状に広がり特に壮観です。
また、袖裏には日本的な鮮やかさを持つ色々を 横段にムラ染めした木綿を合わせています。 肌触りが良い上に、大きな袖を 肩や首元へ回し掛ける際に裏を見せると、この鮮やかな袖裏が、見事な効力を発揮します。 この表と裏には、絞り染めとムラ染め、縦の柄ゆきと横段柄という２種類の対比による巧みな抑揚を仕込んでいるのです。 加えて、衿の中央、つまり首の後ろには、背守り的な刺し子の細工を隠れキャラ的に忍ばせています。
丁寧な技、古式ゆかしい風合い、幻想的なシルエットが揃うと、古典の世界へと引き込まれそうな気にしてくれますね。
羽織紐として、艶やかな表面が個性的な黒檀を中心に、貝モザイクや真鍮などを組み合わせた かなめ玉・フックをコーディネート。 天然素材が静かに重厚さを添えています。
