二重廻しコートの魅力は、背中にまで掛かる覆い布（ケープ）で、後ろ姿の贅沢な美しさがトンビコートとは桁違いです。 暖かさも、背中ではケープの表裏＋身頃の表裏の計４枚の生地で覆われるので、格段に違います。 ふんだんに生地を使う贅沢なコートなのです。 まさに、外套の名に恥じぬアイテムと言えるでしょう。 その分、重量が跳ね上がるので、製作における最大の課題は、いつも軽量化です。 そもそも、フェイクレザーのレザーに対する優位性は、軽いことと雨に強いことですが、この素材は一般的な合皮よりも さらに軽いのです。 一般的なコーティングの合皮とは違い、皮革の光沢感、角質の表情まで 京都の箔プリント技術により精巧に再現されています。 当然 柔軟で、コーティングより丈夫です。
また、身頃と覆い布（ケープ）には、異なる裏地を合わせています。 着る人には嬉しい遊び心です。身頃裏には 合わせやすい黒い紋織りの裏地を、羽根裏（ケープの裏）には パイソン柄のシルバーの裏地と、紋織りの臙脂色の裏地の２種類を用意しています。 二者択一してください。
