太ヘリンボーンのマント

やや毛羽のある太縞・ヘリンボーン織の渋い墨グレーのマント。
縦縞のようでもあり 無地のようでもあるヘリンボーンは、右綾と左綾を交互に組み合わせた綾織りの変化組織で、クラシカルながらも 飽きが来ないので、男性に幅広く高い人気を誇っています。 一番外側の衣類として、大きな占有面積を誇るマントには、幅の広い生地が ふんだんに必要です。 細かく織られたヘリンボーンでは ただの無地にしか見えず、若干 物足りません。 そこで、今回は 太番手のやや毛羽のある糸により、太めの杉綾縞を組み並べて織り上げたヘリンボーンから仕立てました。 このヘリンボーンを構成する太番手の糸は、ウールやアクリルの他にも コットン等の多種類の繊維を混紡させることで、独特の素朴な風合いを生み出しています。 さらに、黒と斑らグレーの２色の糸で織られている太めの杉綾縞が 程よい存在感を示し、糸の毛羽は 織り上がると心地よい起毛となりました。 グレーのサテンの裏地も 抜かりなく釣り合って、ボタンも 重厚な雰囲気です。 もちろん、美しいドレープとシルエット、和服の衿元とマッチする衿、両脇の手を出すためのホールなどの細工にも精巧さは欠かせません。
なお、このマントに限り、小柄な方のため Ｓサイズも製作しました。
渋い色目と素朴な風合いが 無骨で男らしく、太めの杉綾縞が 出しゃばり過ぎない上品なシャレを演出してくれます。 物静かながら退屈させない存在感は、まさに紳士のマントとして、ビジネスからフォーマルまで 多くのシーンで活躍することでしょう。

Herringbone is very popular among many men because it is classical but not boring. MANTLE needs a lot of wide fabrics. This time, I used a herringbone that has an exquisite presence, woven with thick stripes with a little fuzz. This thick thread mixes several fibers in addition to wool and acrylic to create a gentle texture. When it’s finished weaving, the wool feathers have a comfortable nap.
The gray satin lining and buttons give it a stately look. Of course, the drape and silhouette are beautiful, and the workmanship of the collar and the hole to show the hand is also elaborate.
Also, only for this MANTLE, S size was also made.
The chic color and rustic texture are masculine, and the thick herringbone stripes create a quiet and elegant style. As a gentleman’s MANTLE, he will be active in many situations from business to formal.
