花ヒョウ柄のマント

ヒョウ柄に似せて花柄を散らした花ヒョウ柄のマント。裏地は渋く描かれたトロピカル柄。
よく見れば花柄になっている伽羅色の模様を、黒地の上に まだらに散らして、ヒョウ柄に似せている表地は、丁寧に織られたウールで、少し起毛させた しなやかな素材です。 渋い色目ながら、光が当たると その起毛により 妖しげに ぼんやりと柄が浮き上がります。 渋さの中に 花もヒョウも隠した仕掛けは、緻密に計算された遊び心と品格を備えているのです。
オウムやヤシの葉を茶・カーキ・黒などで描いた裏地は、トロピカル柄と呼ぶには 渋すぎる配色ですが、花ヒョウ柄の表に対しても 充分に裏勝りな存在感があります。 ややザラついた風合いで、マントが肩からずり落ちるのも防いでくれるでしょう。 表・裏共に個性を主張しつつも、同系色なので 喧嘩することなく しっくりと纏まっています。 クラシカルなシルエットに加え、手を出すためのホールやボタンなど、マントにとって複雑な箇所から細かな細工まで 手抜かりありません。
戦国武将が南蛮貿易で手に入れたマントのように、気高さと野性味が溢れていますね。

The tropical lining made of parrot and palm leaves has a color that is too subdued, but it also has a presence that is as strong as the flower leopard pattern on the outside.
